Inglesina Baby is a company based in Vicenza, Italy. It specializes in the design and production of
strollers,
accessories,
wheelchairs and other
products for children.
Inglesina Baby was founded in 1963 and is known for producing the
London stroller inspired by the traditional carriages used in England at that time by the British court.
Even today, Inglesina wheelchairs of this type are still produced, with an updated design and with the name Classic.
The founder of the brand Inglesina is Liviano Tommasi, a racing car enthusiast who at that time created mini vehicles for the world of go-karts.
Later, together with his brothers Augusto and Sergio, he entered the world of tricycles and strollers for children, founding Inglesina Baby.
For the first few years Inglesina Baby remained focused on English-style wheelchairs. Later, thanks to the events of the time (such as the Apollo mission),
Inglesina introduced the first Apollo stroller. During the 80s and 90s, it focused almost exclusively on the
production of accessories for babies. During the last few years
Inglesina has launched trio systems.
