The arrival of your baby is getting closer!
In the third trimester of pregnancy there are many things to do such as checkups, organizing the house and bedroom, buying everything you need and it's definitely time to think about the birth bag.
To be ready for any contingency, the advice is to prepare your bag in advance. Usually midwives suggest preparing it around the 32nd week of pregnancy.
But what to put in the bag to take to the hospital? By now, almost all facilities provide a list of the basic things of what the expectant mother and the newcomer will need, but let's see together in detail
.For mothers, nightgowns and pajamas are essential, possibly open at the front and therefore comfortable for breastfeeding; postpartum pads and mesh underwear; nursing bras and breast pads; soothing lanolin nipple cream; finally everything necessary for daily personal hygiene and additional accessories such as slippers, socks, towels and hair bands.
For the newcomer, on the other hand, an average of 4 complete changes are needed (jumpsuit, bodysuit, socks and bonnet) and we suggest packing the changes in practical bags specifically for the hospital kit. Obviously, depending on the season, it will be considered whether to bring with you jumpsuits with short or long sleeves, in cotton or chenille. In addition to this, newborn diapers, bibs, protective paste for diaper changing, soft towels and all the products indicated for the hygiene of your child.
Remember to carry your bag every time you go to the hospital for emergency visits to always be ready!
